Cruise Dining Tourettes?
grantthomas, Emsworth
I am wondering if we have the same condition with cruising, you'll know what I'm on about... It's your first night of the cruise, you've arrived at the dining table there are 2 or 3 brand new couples and you know you've asked it on the past XX cruises but low and behold, you can't help yourself "Is this your first cruise?"..... and your reply "Us? Oh no we've been on Ship A, B, C......."

Are there more? What are the same questions you have asked or been asked when meeting new cruisers? Are there predictable responses?... Read more

To make matter worse the person in the suite below us , continuously smoked a cigar!! The smell was awful everytime we sat on the balcony ( in some of the only good weather days we had). We complained to the guest relations desk, who sent up a supervisor several times to tell him to stop smoking ( celebrity smoking policy since Oct 2008 states no smoking on stateroom verandas) , however they did not remove his ash 'tray'... Never having sailed on this line before, we were very interested to see how she compared to other cruises we had taken. The guests who had been on larger ships previously, were not happy at first because the Odyssey was smaller than they were used to, and those who had previously sailed on Seabourne's smaller vessels were not happy because this ship was 'so big'...
