Inside*NEW - 2011 - Refreshing Winter seascape |
With this issue I cannot resist going frosty and festive in anticipation of the crisp cold spell forecast across Britain. And the certain imminence of a "c" word celebration! We are thrilled to announce open our gorgeous new on-line gift shop www.foottrails.co.uk/shop with wonderful ideas to help with your Christmas shopping, from NEW 2011 calendars to canvas prints for your walls. All are inspired by nature and the evocative English countryside. More later. As the temperature falls, thoughts naturally turn to festive celebrations and the end of the year. We too are preparing gift boxes and packaging up vouchers and presents to send all over the world. It's a lovely time. I took the children to see the Christmas lights being switched on in Bath earlier this week. A phone call delayed us and we missed the "moment" but were hugely surprised when several large vehicles with body guards swooped up right in front of us, and to all our surprise, out lept the Duchess of Cornwall, who had come to turn on the lights. At this time of year it can be easy to become overwhelmed with things to do, things to buy, and to lose sight of quiet moments, natural beauty and wonder. I hope our naturally inspired gifts and country walking holidays offer a more simple pleasure, which can fill anyones face with a smile this Christmas. Read on for more news, ![]() |
