Escorted Photography - Tour Swedish Lapland to Lofoten Islands

Travel operator and Nordic specialist 50 Degrees North has just released an exclusively escorted winter photography tour from Lapland to the Lofoten Islands in Northern Scandinavia.  The tour is the first of its kind with highlights including; the Jokkmokk Winter Market, the ICEHOTEL in Sweden, the Aurora Sky Station in Abisko and a week-long stay at the picturesque Norwegian Lofoten archipelago. The tour is escorted by award winning travel photographer Ewen Bell, who has travelled through this area of Scandinavia on several occasions.

The 14 day adventure will include photography workshops, winter landscape photography lessons by native Swedish photographer Fredrik Broman and several great opportunities for shooting the elusive Aurora Borealis.  The tour will take a maximum of 8 participants.

The tour is designed by 50 Degrees North’s Norwegian Director, Tietse Stelma, who was born in Lapland. This is a sensational adventure into snow and ice, chasing the mesmerising Arctic light. The time of year chosen means the group will have enough daylight to chase reindeer and landscapes under the sun, plus deeply dark nights for shooting the Northern Lights.
Starting in Luleå in Swedish Lapland and finishing in the Lofoten Islands in Northern Norway, this adventure includes some of the most breathtaking winter scenery Scandinavia has to offer.
The first departure is scheduled to run from 30 January to the 12 February 2012 and is priced at AU$ 9270/ GBP 6,100. Further departures are scheduled for February 2013.
